ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS

  • Intended Permissible Use under the Federal Driver’s Privacy Protection Act (DPPA)18 U.S.C. § 2721 et. seq. – PROHIBITION ON RELEASE AND USE OF CERTAIN PERSONAL INFORMATION FROM STATE MOTOR VEHICLE RECORDS
    • (7) For use in providing notice to the owners of towed or impounded vehicles.
      • A repair shop claiming a lien for performing labor or services on a motor vehicle;
      • A towing company claiming a lien for reasonable towing and storage fees.
  • Must have a physical storage facility address of where vehicle are store by the company’s legal business name that had proper authorization to tow, impound, and store the vehicle.
  • Residential address for company shall ONLY be used by a “Mobile” Mechanic and must match address on license.
