Frequently Asked Questions

Common questions. Quick answers.

What is Autura Marketplace?

Autura Marketplace is an online auction platform where dealers, salvage yards, dismantlers, and individual buyers bid on tow and impound vehicles from verified sellers across the country. New inventory is added every day.

Is it free to register?

Yes. Registration is free, and you can browse active auctions immediately after signing up.

What kind of vehicles are available?

Everything from scrap and parts vehicles to fix-and-flips and daily drivers. Inventory varies by seller and region. The best way to find what you're looking for is to set up a saved search, which means you'll receive notifications when matching vehicles go live.

How often is new inventory added?

Every day. Sellers list vehicles on a continuous basis instead of waiting for a single auction event — which means you don't wait either. Set up a saved search and you'll be notified when matching inventory goes live.

Can I place bids on multiple vehicles at once?

Yes. Multi-bid select lets you place bids across multiple vehicles in a single action — no need to click into each listing individually.

Can I save searches and get notified about new listings?

Yes. Save your search criteria once and Autura Marketplace will notify you when matching inventory goes live so you never miss a vehicle.

Are there hidden fees?

No. The full price — including all fees and applicable taxes — is shown before you place your bid.

How does sales tax work?

Autura manages sales tax collection and remittance automatically through Avalara. Applicable tax is included in the total cost shown before you bid.

How do I register a vehicle I won at auction?

The process varies by state and documentation type. Autura Marketplace provides state-by-state guidance in the Help Center. In some cases, the DMV may classify the vehicle as salvage, which requires additional steps before a new title or registration can be issued.

Who can buy on Autura Marketplace?

Anyone can register and browse for free. Most auctions are open to all buyers — no dealer license required. Some sellers restrict their auctions to dealers and dismantlers. Every listing clearly notes which type it is before you bid.

Where do the vehicles come from?

Every vehicle listed on Autura Marketplace comes from a tow or impound operator with legal right to sell. When a towed vehicle goes unclaimed after the lien process is complete, the seller lists it here.

Are vehicles in drivable condition?

Not always. Vehicles are sold as-is and condition varies widely. Every listing includes enforced condition fields and images. This helps you know what you're bidding on in advance. Condition accuracy depends on the seller.

How does bidding work?

Find a vehicle you want, review the listing details and full cost breakdown, and place your bid. You can bid directly from search results or from the individual listing page. Auctions run on their own timeline, meaning each vehicle has its own dedicated auction window.

Will I see the full price before I bid?

Yes. Fees, taxes, and total costs are displayed before you place any bid. What you see is what you will pay.

How does payment work?

All transactions go through Autura Verified Payments (AVP). You can pay by credit card or ACH. The full balance is due at time of sale — no partial payments or balance due at pickup.

How does pickup work?

Once your payment is confirmed, gate codes and pickup instructions are delivered to you automatically. No need to contact the seller or coordinate separately. And it's the same consistent experience, no matter the seller.

What kind of documentation will I receive?

Documentation type varies by vehicle and state — from a clean title to a lien sale packet. You will see the documentation type clearly listed on every vehicle detail page before you bid.

What if the vehicle has a lien?

Sellers complete the lien process before a vehicle is listed. Documentation type on every listing reflects the status of that vehicle, so review it carefully before bidding.
